golf swing tips

How often do – leaving the golf course, completely dissatisfied with the round we played, and in turn on the golf channel on television to try to find that good swing hard tip. Of course, when we do this are just bombarded with a bewildering series of artificial aids are somehow assumed that we instill good habits inherent in a golf swing. I dare say if we bought some of them to go on the practice field that looked like they were on a mission NASA to Mars, with various bits and pieces of tying or hanging out of us.

First I agree, if it is not broke – do not try to fix it. You see this with both professionals and amateurs. Somethings are convinced is wrong with your swing, pay a guru to get changes to it and still do not see any improvement in your game. Weve seen all over the course of some changes atrocious plans, insane and completely out of balance. But if you get distance and accuracy – No worry. Not everyone has the physique and flexibility of Tiger or Sergio.

That being said I have absolutely no doubt that a good golf swing tip is – get help of his professional club. A few dollars spent with him or her will result in its individual – / personal golf – Swing being analyzed and be told what do to correct it. Again, not a question of having the perfect swing, you need a consistent swing that the strike after strike handed the ball at the same distance.

That way not are falling short of their target shooting or more, leaving you with uncomfortable shots blows that accumulate on your card. After of that lesson, what to do? Practice swing, which of course, its not good only goes once a week on the course and expect great results. You have to do that nature second to swing yourself. As instinctive as to know exactly how to turn the wheel in your car, now, when the last time I had to think about it!

We all know that many of our golf swing problems are in our heads. My golfing buddy and I are high handicappers, after a bad shot turn both to each other and say – I have left and re-establish before playing that shot or I knew I was pushing too hard. But oh, no, little devil that tells us our heads – it's okay to be adjusted his down-swing, etc. We both know that we have decent swings for our shortcomings, but we also know that a bad shot is to often due to loss of concentration for a moment. Now Where did I put that book Zen and the art of golf?

The Internet is a great invention. In fact, it’s one of the greatest ever. It’s also among the best resources around for learning about a topic. Usually, all you have to do is type a keyword or two in a search engine and you’ll get a wealth of information on a topic. It wasn’t always that way, though. In the early days the Internet was rather cumbersome to use. But thanks to the World Wide Web, the Internet is now among the world’s most practical information gathering tools.

For golfers looking to improve their golf handicaps or who just want to play more, the Internet is a godsend. It provides everything from online golf tips and video golf lessons to descriptions of golf courses and details on golf trips abroad. It even provides in-depth information on equipment and training aids. It helps both amateurs and professionals. And it’s simple to use.

Below are two sites we uncovered that will interest today’s golfers. One is designed to help you improve your golf handicap. The other is designed to help you enjoy playing the game pain-free. We’ll continue to monitor the Internet and highlight sites like these as we discover them.

Shot By Shot (www.shotbyshot.com)

This Web site is for those serious about cutting their golf handicaps. Created by Golf Research Associates (GRA), formed in 1989 to develop and market statistically based, golf performance analysis programs. The site provides a complete statistical analysis of your game. It analyzes everything from the long game and sand shots to the short game and putting, and it applies proprietary methods of analysis to determine your strengths and weaknesses. What’s good about this easy-to-use site is that it not only provides detailed reports on how you played, but also pinpoints where you need to improve first.

ShotByShot’s proprietary methods analyze every part of your game. Its methods have been tested and refined over the last 10 years, resulting in an accurate game analysis program based on a database that now exceeds 24,000 rounds. Professional golfers use the site to improve their games. So do amateurs. The Golf Digest and Pinehurst Instruction Schools uses the site to improve student’s play, as do the men’s and women’s college golf teams at Clemson, Duke, and North Carolina. GOLF Magazine gave the site, which has an annual subscription fee, an “Excellent” rating.

ShotByShot embodies the creator’s idea that traditional statistics (fairways hit, greens-in-regulation, sand saves, and the number of putts) provide little insight into how you play. In fact, they could even be misleading when used as performance indicators. The sites approach enables avid golfers to accurately determine the strengths and weaknesses of their games. This information focuses a player’s practice efforts and accelerates his or her improvement process.

The site is simple to use. First you record the data on your scorecard as you play. The site provides special scorecards you can print out to make the process easier. Then you enter the data into the site. Next, you select a target golf handicap group. The site then compares your results with that of your target group. After comparing data, the site reveals which area of your game you need to practice the most. Given this information, you can focus your practices on improving this area. Once you’ve improved the area, you can start the process all over again, until you get to where your want to be in terms of skill.

GolfersMD (www.golfersmd.com)

GolfersMD is another good resource for golfers. The official health and fitness content partner of the Golf Channel, it specializes in health information for golfers looking to improve their health and their game. GolfersMD is a comprehensive online health community, dedicated exclusively to injury prevention and treatment for golfers. Through insightful articles, expert-hosted videos, and an ever-growing community of golfers sharing information, GolfersMD educates, enlightens and empowers golfers with solution-focused content.

The site covers the top golf injuries, including back pain, knee pain, and shoulder injuries. It provides a symptom checker to help you pinpoint your health problem as well as a doctor finder to help you locate physicians near you who specialize in golf–related health problems. It provides insightful article and videos on topics like hydrating your body for better golf and the impact of caffeine on golf performance. And it provides the latest news and information on technology and equipment to maintain a golfer’s health.

In addition, there’s a forum where golfers can discuss health-related issues and an extensive library of health-related videos, as well as mental tips from Dr. Morris Pickens, psychology coach for Zach Johnson, 2007 Masters Champion. Other topics covered include physical fitness with Dr. Robert Donatelli, nutrition with Susan Hill, and short game, full swing, and playing equipment with Jerrett Garner. There’s even a Web store where you can buy health-related products online.

GolfersMD.com provides valuable practical health-related information to help gofers of all golf handicaps play pain free. ShotByShot.com offers practical advice to help golfers of all golf handicaps excel. They’re just two of the many Web sites out there devoted to improving your game. Given time and the creativity of entrepreneurs, more and more of these sites will emerge. We’ll keep you posted.

golf games to play
Games to play on a golf outing?

I’m going on a family/friends golf vacation in which we go for 4 days. Usually we have 8, 12 or 16 guys. In the past we have played 2 man and 4 man scrambles, team match play, etc. This year is different because we only have 7 guys who have committed to going.

Does anyone have suggestions for any golf games for 7 players?

I copied this from a golf website (sorry but it’s kind of long). It is a narative by Chi Chi Rodriguez. My friends and I will play this with any number of players, not just four. However, we also play in one big group (we play on a casual, uncrowded local course) and I don’t know if you can do that where you play. Hope this helps and enjoy your vacation.

Here’s howl to play Wolf . . . and aren’t you glad your golf game is better than my pun, which was awolful?! Please, stop, the laughter’s hurting my side.
Wolf is a classic four-player game that creates a different team on every hole or a gutsy one-on-three situation. An order one through four is established on the first tee and will continue to roll over through the entire round. The first player in the rotation tees off first on number 1, followed by players two, three, and four. On number 2, the second player in the rotation has honors, followed by players three, four, and one. The third player has the box on the number 3, followed by players four, one, and two. And player four leads off on hole number 4, followed by players one, two, and three. The wheel then repeats, starting with player one on the 5th hole and continues to turn over through the entire 18 holes. How the order is picked doesn’t matter – by height, alphabetically, shoe size, or show of hands.

The player teeing off first on a hole is the wolf (my, what sharp teeth you have). As the wolf watches (my, what big eyes you have) the other players in the group tee off, he has the option to pick one of them as a partner on the hole, the rub being that the wolf must choose the player immediately after his tee ball. No waiting to see how all the players fare off the box before choosing. If the wolf chooses to partner with the second player, he must announce his intentions before the third player tees off. If the wolf passes on number two, he can tab player three but only before the last player hits. The same goes for the third player. If the wolf decides none of the shots are to his liking, he may go the hole alone and play against the other three.

To win a hole, the wolf and his partner, or the wolf alone, must combine to make a better ball score lower than the opposing team. A tie is a wash. A higher score, and the bet is won by the hunting team. A wolf playing alone receives double the bet if he wins and pays double to each of the other three players if he loses.

A brave variation of the game is to play Lone Wolf in which the first golfer on the tee announces he will play the hole solo immediately after his drive and without seeing any of the other tee shots. In Lone Wolf, the winnings are tripled, but so are losses, and again it’s triple to all other players in the group. For those truly wild animals who would keep Marlin Perkins safely above in his helicopter while Jim Fowler runs through the burning forest floor, the Lone Wolf may declare his intentions to go it alone before ever putting his tee in the ground. In this case, all bets are quadrupled. Happy hunting.

All bets on tied holes may be carried over but most often are erased and started new on the next tee. Because the 17th and 18th holes are left over after four turns of the rotation, the player in last place is generally given the courtesy of teeing off first and being the wolf on the final two holes.

Wolf strategy is as much about self-confidence as it is about faith in a partner. A good player will go it alone as often as possible, especially on par 3s and 5s. Because this is a game played to full handicaps (3/4s or 2/3s for complete strangers), it helps to check to see who may be getting a stroke on the hole. Partners can be picked either to help win a hole or just to share losses, depending on your own tee ball. Hit it and howl golfers.

golf ohio state

The best team they have comes from their gymnastics and swimming team. The rest of teams, despite not being consecutive champions, still are doing well as runner ups.

NCAA Championships is one of the most awaited events in every college team. It is a national title wherein the best of the best from different divisions and states are named. Some of the Big Ten Conference Division are able to make it on this important event while some are not. However, the chances of joining are big since there are many sports sanctioned by this organization.

The most popular sports for this event are football, basketball and baseball. If you look at the track record of the different teams, some might take years before they get their next Championship Titles. Others can do it consecutively but could end up periods of drought. Well, it is quite expected as different teams evolve every year and different players with strong skills and abilities emerge. Not to mention, the coaches of the teams vary and they have different strategies. Some may contribute to their winning streak others just settle for division titles.

The Universities of the Big 10 Conference have their many chances in joining the different NCAA Championship Matches. One of them is Ohio State University. They have won a total of 22 NCAA Titles. Their varsity team is named as the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Out of curiosity, let us try to trace their achievements in NCAA. Below are their records and years that they have won their 22 National Titles from NCAA:

Swimming Team

Their swimming team for men has the most records of NCAA titles for this event. They accumulated a total of 11 titles since 1943. Mike Peppe was the coach in 1931-1963 who led the team to win these 11 titles. He was ranked number one to coach the most titles for the NCAA and Ohio State was one of the teams to win the most titles in a year (for the years 1953 and 1955).

Gymnastics

Their team for men was the winner of the NCAA championships in 1984, 1990 and 2001. They have produced 24 NCAA individual champions under the supervision of Miles Avery. In 2001, Jamie Natalie was the All-around champion.

Golf

The division for men won the NCAA title in 1945 and 1979. In 1945, this varsity team grabbed their first gold under the supervision of Robert Keppler. The second title was under Jim Brown. Both coaches are now in the hall of fame for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Track and Field, Fencing, Baseball and Basketball

Each of these teams grabbed one NCAA title. Track and field gained the title under the coaching of F.R. Castleman. One of the notable players at his time was George Simpson, who was a champion for both 100 and 220-Yard Dash. Fencing team became National champion in 1942. Their baseball team won in 1966 under the coaching of Marty Karow. On the other hand, their basketball team won in 1960 under the coaching of Fred Taylor. Jerry Lucas was one of the top players at that time and he helped the team to win the title.

golf cart parts used

Golf carts accessories are required by every passionate golfer. In fact, they can’t possibly finish a good game if any of their clubs, carts, or uniform is less than perfect. Golfers are naturally fervent with their handicaps and tees. So if they need to improve on anything, they’d do so. Especially if it is something as simple as upgrading their golf carts to get a better swing form.

Not that the two are directly related to each other. But the idea is this: to be good at golf, everything around you has to be near-perfect. There’s a reason why golfers use a special kind of shoes. And why they have to wear whites during a game. In a golf course, everything has a purpose. A clear mind is one element necessary to succeed. On that note, golf carts accessories can easily be considered as necessities.

There are different golf carts accessories available over the internet and at offline shops these days. You can start the upgrade of your golf cart with a better dashboard, lift kit, mounting rack, cargo box, controller, and even cup holders. You see, golf carts are much like regular vehicles. They can be greatly enhanced to provide optimum convenience for you so you can worry about nothing else but your game.

Aside from golf carts accessories, golf cart spare parts are easily accessible these days too. Spare parts for golf carts cover the motor, clutch, lamps, mufflers, and rear view mirrors, among others. Putting your golf cart back to its tiptop shape is not too much of a problem. With the right parts, your golf cart will be up and running again in no time.

Accessories are also available for golf trolleys and remote golf carts. To get the most compatible one for your vehicle, it is best that you directly check with the manufacturer. They will definitely have the parts that you need for your golf cart.

The use of golf cart accessories is not really a strict requirement for golfers. But they can help greatly in so many ways. Some accessories can make your cart work better and faster, like in the case of wheels upgrades and speed controllers. Certain accessories can make your cart more functional as in the addition of cup holders, mounting racks, and trailers. And there are accessories that can protect your cart too. There are security parts, enclosures, and storage upgrades for golf carts that can provide you with an absolute peace of mind while playing.
