2 questions about sports… golf and baseball?
1st question… Why do people consider a golf a sport. It’s a game. People may say it takes skill, and talent and its competition. but so is chess and thats not a sport. Cheerleading is more of a sport than golf and schools don’t consider that a sport.
2nd question… Do you think baseball is one of the most difficult sports to play. Here’s why i think so. In the pro’s, they have .4 seconds to react. thats quick. I bet you anything that a pro baseball player can play football or basketball but basketball or football players cant hit a 95mph pitch.
PRC fan: It is point 4 seconds to react… not 4. that would be easy. but i bet you can’t hit a fastball but i bet i could take a hit and catch a ball thats like a foot long.
Jim: Anyone can learn to skate bitch. and big deal about goalies. sure they block 95 mph pucks but they could use their bodies with padding, a thicker stick than the rest of the playerse, and a meter long glove. try to hit that with a bat thats 2 inches in width.
well I do not necessarily disagree with you on 1st question, but in pro golf you do have to walk the course to.
and on question 2 another reason baseball is so hard is you are hitting a round ball with a round bat.
Also Bow Jackson was very good at pro baseball and pro football.
It is hard to say these days who else might be because 99.9% of all pro player contracts refuse to let a player play in more then one sport in case they were to get injured. Teams want to protect their multi million dollar employees. Micheal Jordan even had to fight like hell to get the right to play in local park/ street pick-up games in case he would some how get hurt.

is being Polish still stereotypical?
kind od experience this quite often in chicago:
College Republikans club: one of guys asking questions around:
- so you’re from Poland: “Jak sie masz”? (means how are you)
- I so answer ” Dobrze”, (good)
- he repeats me and most in room laugh
In golf club lesson:
a couple playing golf: saying “Polish” and smiling but not genuinely interested in conversation.
going out to club with a friend in college asking me to pretend to be his irish brother and nothing about being polish
in my college – a day of multicultural presentation of food in dining halls for order
- mexican, german, italian, cuban, but nowhere Polish
how is being Polish a stereotype? You are what you are and they are being racist or prejudiced.

Golf Club Experts I need your help?
I am trying to come up with an idea was to what way I want to go with my new driver? My question is, what ball flight will go higher and what club will go farther?
1. A ping G5 8.5* Driver with a Grafalloy Blue Pro Launch stiff 65gram shaft
or
2. A ping G5 12* Driver with a Fujikura Fujikura Rombax 8Z08 x-stiff 85 Gram Shaft
Obviously the lofts and shafts are the two major factors here, I have heard both way and would like some expert options.
I realize that the best option would be to go get fitted, that is not an option. I am just saying in general what do you think would go farther?
I am really leaning towards going with a higher lofted club, I already have a fujukara shaft with a high kick point, I just want to know if i should go with 12 or 10.5 of loft.

How does the handicap system in golf work?
The handicap is an average of how many strokes over par you are. If shoot 83, 82, then 81 on a par 72 course, your handicap would be 10 because you average 10 strokes over par. Make sense? Holes are ranked as handicaps to determine the difficulty. #1 handicap being the most difficult and #18 the least. Hope this helps!

Is swimming a good exercise to get in shape for golf?
I love to golf, and want to get better, I know that spending time in the course is important, but also, spending some time getting in shape is important also since I walk the course. I swim, about 2000 yards 3-4 times a week, depending on how much I golf, I have never had any clear answer if this is good for my game, or could hurt my game. I dont enjoy weights, and am not a motivated runner. I was hoping that someone could give me some insight on this, thanks.
It’s an excellent way to get in shape for golf. Increases your endurance, strength and flexibility. You’ll want to add some additional stretching to your routine to cover all the muscle groups because, obviously, golf uses some different muscles.

Leg muscles…fast!?
Hey guys,
I play golf for my high school in the fall, but next semester i want to try out for track and field. The problem is….golf isnt very physically challenging hahah. Im not fat, and i do go to the gym sometimes. Im probably like 112 lbs, and 5′6”. I really want to sprint for our track team, but i need to get stronger legs.
Are there any exercises that i can do at home that will help me in sprinting??
and also exercises that show results kind of fast..
any help will be appreciated!
Yes you want to work on your fast twitch muscles, do a google search for exercise fast twitch and you will find lots of exercises also search plyometrics. When you say show results fast it will depend on your body type. Basically their are no real short cuts, just dedicated hard work. Also when you say show results fast I assume you mean in performance, if so you should see improvement soon, if you mean visual then no because those kinds of exercises are not for building bulk, they are for building the explosive power of muscles. Normal weight trainning and things like squats won’t do it for you, speed squats will.
