Do the Majors (The Masters, US Open, etc) fund their own prizes from ticket, food, and merchandise sales, or does the money come from the PGA Tour? Are the payouts for the other tournaments provided by the sponsors (ie. Buick Invitational)?
All different organizations. Sponsors mainly like Cadillac gives roughly about 700 grand every tourney they Spenser. Fed Ex pays 10’s of millions of dollars for the year. People pay ticket prices. etc….
When I teach golf, I often encourage my students to consider the video analysis of your golf swing. Although it seems Amazingly, many are afraid to use this excellent tool. They do not want to see what your changes to appear in the video. However, I believe that the use of video for be the most effective tool in my arsenal of teaching.
Using video gives tremendous feedback for the student. Occasionally, while I am teaching and moving a student through his swing as I'd like to swing, say "it does not feel right" or "that feels uncomfortable." Or, sometimes will say that they thought had done what I really asked them in a swing in particular, but from my point of view, is clearly not. However, when they see swing your own video, and then how to swing on video I know that they need to make some changes for the better.
As a result, now insist The first lesson that a student receives from me will involve the use of video. I created a field study of indoor golf, including video equipment and a simulator courses. The simulator provides feedback as to what the club is doing at impact. The simulator tells the student if your swing path is inside out, inside or outside square, and also indicates the angle of the clubface at impact. Is the square closed or open? An explanation in terms of physical laws ball flight are attached to this feedback.
Once we see the general pattern of the swing path and ball flight in the simulator, I bring the camera video. I combine this with analysis software that I use. The analysis of student's swing in slow motion reveal the defects of oscillation of the student. This analysis will help develop an improvement plan.
The advantages of applying video analysis through the lesson in the series practice field is evident. When the driving range, if a student is having problems with your ball flight without seeing your own swing on video, they will tend to dismiss to the changes that the instructor is communication. Just move in to the instructor next to try to find the magic formula. Therefore, many instructors focus simply trying to provide a quick swing, instead of communicating a comprehensive improvement plan in the swing. The problem is that a quick solution to disappear as quickly as it appeared.
Moreover, when a student views video of his swing, which receive substantial feedback regarding the faults that need to correct. If the student is given a good explanation of cause and effect of the instructor based on what they see in the video, which will have more confidence in the changes that the instructor want to do.
Not only that, but a student can incorporate the use of video in your own practice. Many of the popular analysis programs video can be purchased for home use at a substantial discount to what professionals pay for higher-end programs. A standard video camera and equipment are all needed equipment. Once the student understands the swing shift who are trying to do, the use of video can provide feedback on their progress.
The conclusion is that the video analysis tool is now the single best golf instructor can use when teaching their students. As such, the student should look forward to serious golf teachers who use this technology regularly.

Who do you think will win the OPEN UP? I'm in a golf pool where you pick a player golf every week, but can have only once all season … I should take I already Mickelson, Casey, Stenson, Goosen, Weir, Stricker, OHair, Els, McIlroy, Poulter, Donald Available people who can take Tiger Woods (but prefers to wait and not take him this week) Padraig Harrington, Geoff Ogilvy Sergio GarcĂa Camilo Villegas Anthony Kim Vijay Singh Jim Furyk Kenny Perry Zach Johnson Angel Cabrera, Hunter Mahan, Robert Karlsson, Lee Westwood, Rory Sabbatini Stewart Cink David Toms Ross Fisher Who do you think?
Geoff Ogilvy and Jim Furyk I think we need a golfer who can maintain their composure in the atmosphere of New York. It's going to get vocal, loud and crazy. These two players are rather stoic and believe it can block the peripheral "entertainment".

In 2003, after winning six of the twelve majors from 2000 to 2002, Tiger Woods struggled with his swing, leaving him lagging behind the field at both the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. With Woods out of the picture, the stage was set for a newcom...
The 2009 US Open Golf Championship takes place on the Black Course at the Bethpage State Park, Long Island, New York, which in 2002 became the first public golf course to host a golfing major in the USA when it hosted the US Open.
The course proved very difficult too with only Tiger Woods managing to finish under par, he won the tournament that year by three shots from his greatest rival, Phil Mickelson. It was his second victory in the US Open at the time, but it was his last until he won last year in remarkable style, following a play off with compatriot, Rocco Mediate, at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in California.
His victory was remarkable as he played five rounds of golf on virtually one leg, seeing off Mediate after a close run play off round. Follow that success, Woods immediately withdrew from the rest of the 2008 tour and underwent knee surgery, which happily he has fully recovered from and is now back playing full time on the tour.
Woods of course will be favourite in the US Open Golf betting to win again this year and as usual there is little reason to doubt that he can pull it off and win his 15th golf major, especially on a course on which he has proven winning form.
Players of the stature of Mickelson and Spain’s, Sergio Garcia, will no doubt be a threat to Woods and both acquitted themselves well when it was played at Bethpage in 2002. Mickelson was second to Woods on level par, while Garcia finished in a tie for fourth place, 4 over par. Woods, Mickelson and Garcia are the top three ranked players in the world currently and it could be that they will have to battle out the 2009 US Open between them.
The early antepost betting has Woods as the favourite, with Mickelson and Garcia behind him. Three time major winner, Padraig Harrington and former US Open champion, Geoff Ogilvy are also liekly to feature prominently and pose big threats to all comers.
Argentine Angel Cabrera, who won the US Masters at Augusta back in April this year, also won the US Open in 2007 and on that form he is surely a huge threat to win a third major.
Over recent years the US Open has had the tendency to throw up a host of unexpected and often first time major winners. It seems that if Woods isn’t winning then a new name appears on the trophy. Other than Woods, only South African, Reteif Goosen, has won it more than once. The following is the list of the last ten winners and with five first time winners appearing on the list, it could be worth spending time studying the form of the players who haven’t yet won the US Open.
2008 – Woods
2007 – Cabrera – 1st time winner
2006 – Ogilvy – 1st time winner
2005 – Michael Campbell – 1st time winner
2004 – Reteif Goosen
2003 – Jim Furyk – 1st time winner
2002 – Wood
2001 – Reteif Goosen – 1st time winner
2000 – Woods
1999 – Payne Stewart
The 2009 US Open Golf Championship takes place between 15-21 June
